Moisture Handling
Unlike traditional insulation types, SkamoWall solves moisture and mould problems by naturally absorbing, accumulating and releasing moisture when the room is ventilated.
Mould Control
Mould thrives in environments with a pH value between 3 and 7. SkamoWall has a pH value above 10, thus eliminating the mould's habitat.
Calcium silicate
SkamoWall is made from calcium silicate - a mixed product of lime and microsilica from Norway. Both are natural minerals, but where lime is found naturally, microsilica is a waste product in the form of fine dust created when silicon is mined for the production of e.g. electronics.
Quartz-free
SkamoWall is made with a quartz-free composition, ensuring that no hazardous particles are released during processing. Furthermore, SkamoWall complies with EU classification and labeling regulations and is not considered a hazardous material.
